Description

Okay! Wow, i'll kick a project up and running right now: In Search of G/T. It's exactly what the name says, i'll be exploring all sorts of G/T stuff i can find and share them all with you. The point of this project is mainly to bring all kinds of new G/T content to those looking for it. I know it gets so frigging frustrating sometimes to look for new giant/tiny stuff, so i'll give you all a nice deal: i tell you all that i have found, and you can share the ones you've found! This is win/win scenario, you might find cool new things, as well as expand the number of fans in the fandoms you are in.
I have no more accurate rules than that it has to have G/T. I myself prefer sw/gt over sm/gts a whole lot more, but let's see where we'll get. I have already quite a lot of stuff to share, so buckle up! It's gonna be a rough ride C:<

edit: just updating these to better, more simple ones with less personal opinion and more facts ;D
ALRIGHT! Prologues are done, here begins the real deal:

Superheroes

There are a TON of superheroes out there with shrinking/growing powers. Here I'll be listing only DC/Marvel ones tho, because they're the BIG names in superhero business (guys are greedy enough to patent the word 'superhero' for themselves D:<)

Okay, now here is the character that first made me realize my true passion for G/T. Janet Van Dyne aka the Wasp. If you ever thought that a tiny couldn't be the most kick-ass of them all, she will more than gladly prove you wrong!

All fashionista, heiress and one of the original Avengers (she NAMED the whole team, check it up if you don't believe me!), Janet is also the greatest role model ever. She teaches everybody that they can be WHATEVER and still kick major ass! Sadly she has been totally excluded from the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) which is the greates mistake Marvel culd have ever made. She's been treated so badly lately (aka during the last decade) that I decided if somebody should have the right to represent all heroes with shrinking or growing powers, it would be her. (still salty as you can see, also no don't get me wrong, i don't think she deserves to represent them because of her horrifying treatement, but because she is so awesome and one of the first female superheroes anyway)

Here's a list of other superheroes with the best powers ever:
            Marvel

  • Ant-Man/Giant Man/Goliath/Yellowjacket (all the same person, thought some other characters steal his names occasionally) (superhero/villain, both shrinks and grows)
  • (second) Ant-Man (like this guy stole) (superhero, shrinks)
  • Wasp (superheroine, shrinks (in some AUs can grow too))
  • Stature (superheroine, shrinks/grows)
  • Atlas (villain, giant)

             DC

  • Atom (superhero, shrinks to atomic sizes)
  • Giganta (villain, grows into giantess)
  • Colossal Boy/Leviathan (superhero, actually a giant who can shrink to human size)
  • Shrinking Violet (superheroine, shrinks, later can grow and takes Leviathan's name)
  • Elasti-Girl (superheroine, shrinks/grows)

And i'm quite sure i forgot to mention people… so yeah. It's quite the gold mine out there!

Some other plus sides to superhero stuff is well kick-ass, the sheer amount of sass!!, and neverending content starting all the way from 50s with the g/t stuff!!! And there's new content coming alll the time.

Minus side is, there's so much content that one feels so damn lost in the beginning! You can be like me, who wants to read EVERYTHING EVER (i'm more than willing to help ;D) ooor you can just read around random comics, watch the cartoons/movies(which are so wrong i can't even, yes still salty) because while there always is the main plotline stretching all the way back to the first superhero comic book ever, there is a shit ton of AUs going on, and it's sometimes kinda hard to know if something is AU or canon. Anyway, if you feel like you'd want to give it a shot and want some help don't be afraid to ask some C;

"The Giant and the Fairy" by marvel comics (as I affectionately call them) Hank And Janet deserve much more from Marvel. Especially Hank. I always hope for an animated series with their two protagonists

And anyway I love these characters because they have (strongly) made me develop the giant man / tiny woman size fetish in me since I was a teenager.

It made me mad with joy that there could be a superhero duo of which a man could grow to gigantic size, and a woman become shrink like an insect.

I really love this duo...and even made this little tribute to deviantart 😁😁😁
